International Childhood Cancer Day is an annually marked event that takes place on February 15 th every year. It is a global collaborative campaign to raise awareness about childhood cancer and to express support for children and adolescents suffering from cancer, the survivors, and their respective families.
St. Judes was founded with the sole vision aiming at successful and efficient treatment of every child suffering from cancer. St. Judes has completed 15 years in this quest to bring health and happiness back to children battling cancer, and their families. And it is a journey St. Judes effortlessly strives to undertake even further.
St. Judes is a ‘A home away from home’ for young cancer warriors, and they celebrated International Childhood Cancer Day at St. Judes centres with much enthusiasm. Children made colourful and creative posters with the help of their parents to highlight facts about childhood cancer. Engaging with each other through various fun-filled and productive activities, they spent the day interacting and encouraging each other. The whole day was brimming with their zest and enthusiasm for life.
In a touching gesture of further extending encouraging support, versatile actor, Jim Sarbh sent a heartfelt message to all his fans on this occasion, encouraging them to support St. Judes and its alumni, known as Judians.
Here’s what he had to say:
“St. Judes has been providing children battling Cancer with a home away from home for the last 15 years. Support St. Judes now, to give every child the best chance to beat Cancer.”
With hopeful and resounding words of encouragement, he signed off saying –
“Because if Cancer doesn’t stop… neither will we!”
